When Novato Self Storage was built in 1983, a Yellow Pages listing was the best and most used way to attract customers. Since then, cell phones and use of the internet have brought new ways to reach customers. But when a national competitor built a facility with a 30’ pole sign directly across from our property, it became obvious we needed more effective building signage to remain visible.
After a two-year permit process, often bureaucratic and occasionally contentious, our building signage proposal was accepted and we were able to construct our sign, making our site as visible as the one which had tried to eclipse us with its sign.
Inquiries increased immediately and our drive-by recognition improved dramatically.
